With a nice variety of lighthouses within the boundary of the state of Ohio, it seems that many locals and visitors alike enjoy taking in the sights and sounds of these historic structures. With the northern coast of the state being almost entirely bordered by water, there is a nice selection and variety of light stations to see in this area of the United States. These beacons come in a variety of shapes, sizes, terrains, and architectural designs and layouts. Having those things in mind, we encourage you to make the effort needed to try and visit the light stations that are situated in the state of Ohio.
We understand that because there are so many, it would be pretty difficult to try and see all of them in one day… and for that reason we often times encourage people to spend a specific amount of time in the area to try to visit as many of them as possible. Another option would be to take a few trips, on separate occasions, to the area to make sure each location and light station can be explored more thoroughly. Some may be wondering if it is possible to see all of the lighthouses in Ohio in one day, and while that may be possible if the trips are limited to about 10-15 minutes each, we wouldn’t’ recommend that. These lighthouses have so many different elements and aspects that are to be enjoyed by anyone visiting, that they shouldn’t put such time constraints on a visit. Some of the lighthouses in this state have tours and packages that take an entire day to fully complete; so feel free to take your time while visiting these structures. Another reason we encourage our guests to do that is so they can take plenty of pictures and videos of their trip so they can be shared with others, and maybe the ones who see these memory aids will eventually decide to take a visit themselves. So if you are trying to find a lighthouse to visit while in the state of Ohio, take a look at the list of lighthouses we have below to see what your options are. Enjoy!
